After providing service of Wi-Fi on railway stations in India, the Indian government is now planning to provide service of free Wi-Fi in the trains. Piyush Goyal, the Union Railway Minister shared this information. With this announcement, he has also provided information regarding the deadline related to the ambitious project.
Piyush Goyal stated that the central government of India is planning to provide the service of Wi-Fi in trains within the next four to five years. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, speaking with the ANI news agency in Sweden, stated that this plan is a complex technical case. The investment will be needed for providing Wi-Fi in the moving trains. He also stated some equipment needs to be installed inside the towers as well as trains. We will have to approach foreign investors and get advanced technology for setting this up.
